Over the course of the past month, several people reached out to me (via Instagram and Tumblr) and asked if I like Austin, what the city was like and if I would recommend moving here. Even though my knowledge of the Texas capital is by no means unparalleled, I feel that starting a new blog section dedicated to Austin's noteworthy places would be a great idea because it would help me start exploring it more, and it would be fun to share!
Naturally, the very first post, had to be art related and to be very "Austin". Hope Outdoor Gallery Immediately popped into my head as it continuously makes the list of places to see here, and it truly is a fun experience.
Located off of Baylor Street and 11th Street, this is a three story playground for street graffiti artists as well as anybody who is interested in leaving a positive message for others to see. It's the largest outdoor gallery in Texas and one of the largest in the entire US!
One of the best things about the outdoor gallery is that it's constantly changing. So it's definitely worth one or multiple visits. Here, not only do you get a chance to enjoy street art, but you will also be able to enjoy a beautiful view of downtown Austin as it is a prime piece of real estate in one of the fastest growing cities in the US.
Grab a cup of coffee or tea at one of the coffee shops next door, and walk over to Hope for some outdoor art fun!
